SDD CAM (Self Defense Dash Camera) is a security app that serves as your silent witness. Unlike every other dash camera out there that focuses on the road ahead, SDDCAM focuses strictly on you!

A single click on the app or voice command sets off a sequence of events that ends up in an email or SMS alert being sent to your designated emergency contact(s). This alert contains a link to view or download a video recording initiated by you in an emergency or heightened threat situation

XCode

Xcode is Apple's integrated development environment (IDE) for macOS, used to develop software for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS. It was first released in 2003; the latest stable release is version 12.5.1, released on June 21, 2021, and is available via the Mac App Store free of charge for macOS Big Sur users.

Swift Language

Swift is a powerful and intuitive programming language for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. Writing Swift code is interactive and fun, the syntax is concise yet expressive, and Swift includes modern features developers love. Swift code is safe by design, yet also produces software that runs lightning-fast.

Exclusive Design

Xcode provides a visual editor for storyboards, where you can lay out and design the user interface of your application by adding views such as buttons, table views, and text views onto scenes. In addition, a storyboard enables you to connect a view to its controller object, and to manage the transfer of data between view controllers.

App Features

One touch manual activation or voice command launches selfie (front) camera focused on user and surroundings.
Video and audio recording starts and uploads to cloud vault in real time (data plan required)
Stealth mode option available to continue selfie recording in background
Video uploaded in 20sec clips so as to capture as much activity in the event of a malicious interruption.
Clips merged and instantly delivered to emergency contact in 5min batches (if longer than 5 mins)
Emergency contact has options to view and download video evidence (SMS and email)
Video recording has embedded Date, Time stamp and GPS coordinates.

Module Description

Login: Login functionality allows users to enter email and password to login. If the credentials are valid then the user will be redirected to the home screen otherwise invalid credentials popup will appear. User must login to use all functionalities of the app.

Forgot Password: If users forget their password then they can able to generate new password using forgot password screen. Users will be required to enter an email address, then they will receive a link on the email to generate a new password. Using this link user can generate new password.

Signup: The Signup screen allow users to register themselves using their basic details. User can also add two emergency contact numbers during registration. User can change the emergency contact number from the "Settings" screen.

Module Description

Home: Recorded videos will be displayed on the Home screen as shown. Swipe left to delete any unwanted video from library. SDDCAM was designed to upload recordings to cloud in real time every 20sec during a recording. This was our way of ensuring that in an emergency situation, as much recording of the incident is captured before a malicious interruption. SDDCAM does not wait till the end of a recording to upload to cloud! On our servers, these 20sec bits are merged together to a maximum 5min clips.

Recording: Recording screens displayed when app is launched manually or by voice. User can launch app with Siri using the command “Open SDDCAM” or “Launch SDDCAM”. If recording is canceled by selecting back arrow, the Home screen will be displayed.
